This is to let my clients know that from 25th May 2018 new data protection protection laws come into effect.This means that any records I hold for any purpose are all subject to data protection laws.
I,Maggie Godden will adhere to the best of my knowledge to the changes.I take the privacy of my clients very seriously.I will always have my client’s best interest at heart and do my best to safe guard them.
Information and where it goes
Information practitioners hold about clients is regarded as especially sensitive and as personal information.I will do my best to minimise any risk to how I hold data to avoid data breaches.
What information I hold about you?
Contact Details – Name,Address,telephone numbers and email addresses. Information gathered during and after the sessions.
Why I collect it?
I take paper notes to form a case history/consultation Forms.The information usually unfolds,builds and continues over a period of time.I find it useful to take notes to track progress and to reflect before further sessions.Notes are taken for my own purpose and sometimes used in supervision.
How long I keep personal data
Any texts or emails used to communicate or book appointments will be deleted from my phone or computer after the event.
Personal data will be kept in a locked filing cabinet at my home.
Personal information will be held for a seven year time frame.
Clients have the right to access any information held about them.The client will need to write to me to gain access.Clients also have the right to complain.
Should you need to cancel your appointment please give me 24 hours notice so I can cancel my room booking.Less than 24 hours will incur a client cancellation charge of 50%.
